Federal Business Council
Due to continued in-person capacity restrictions for government employees as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be moving the October 27, 2021 GPC event to April 2022 TBA. The success of our Annual Conference depends significantly on the participation level of federal, state and local Government agencies. These groups aren’t able to participate at the necessary level to make the GPC event what it normally would be . We are working on confirming the April date and will send out an update in the next couple of weeks.-----------------------------------------------------------------------The Federal Government Procurement Conference (GPC) is a national conference fostering business partnerships between the Federal Government, its prime contractors and small, minority, service-disabled veteran-owned, veteran-owned, HUBZone and women-owned businesses.
GPC is the largest and longest-running conference for small businesses looking to do business with the government and its prime contractors. This unique one-day event attracts more than 3,000 people including:

Equipment/materials that can be brought in on one cart may be hand carried into the convention center and brought into the Exhibit Hall. You may choose to park at a local parking lot and walk your equipment in (1-3 blocks). Another option is to carpool so that one person can unload the equipment on L Street while the other person parks the vehicle. Please bring your own handcart as there will not be one available for your use. Companies bringing in their own equipment will be responsible for delivering items to their own booths.
If you have a large display or materials that require shipping, you must ship through our decorator, Shepard Exposition. If you ship through the decorator your materials will be delivered to your booth. Vendors MAY NOT ship directly to the Convention Center. FBC and Shepard are not responsible for companies that do not follow this. After the event, if you are using an outbound carrier other than Shepard Exposition and that carrier fails to check in or refuses to accept your shipment by 6 p.m. on October 27th your freight will be rerouted to Shepard or returned to their warehouse pending further advice. Exhibitors will be charged accordingly for this service, and no liability will be assumed by Shepard Exposition as a result of such rerouting and handling. Once your shipment is packed and labeled and ready for pick-up, please obtain a material handling form (bill of lading) from the Shepard service desk and follow the directions provided by our service representative on site to ensure that your materials are loaded onto your designated carrier. Shipments left on the floor without a validated Shepard bill of lading will be returned to the warehouse or rerouted to Shepard at our discretion. Applicable charges will apply. FBC will not be liable for any loss, theft or damage to any equipment shipped through Shepard Exposition. Please refer to the Exhibitor Kit for detailed information on shipping, electricity, internet and lead retrieval.
Please be aware that there is a cost difference between ordering electricity and additional booth items on-site vs. pre-show! Payment must be received 21 days in advance of the conference (Tuesday, September 28th) in order to receive the earlier incentive rates. Please limit your displays to items that can fit on a 6-ft. table or directly behind it. Spaces will be 10 x 10.
The Washington Convention Center has identified over 3000 parking spaces in a three block radius of the facility. These spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage attendees to use the public parking facilities, so that it does not impact the limited residential parking. There are also approximately 100 metered parking spaces within close proximity to the facility.
For a map of available parking in the area, CLICK HERE.
There is no parking available on-site and parking will not be validated for this event. There are twelve designated public parking spaces designated for vehicles displaying disability parking placards/permits or license tags in the following locations: North end of 7th Street between L and Mt Vernon Streets (3 metered spaces), South end of 9th Street between Mount Vernon Place and L Street (3 metered spaces), South end of 9th Street between L Street and M Street (3 metered spaces), South end of 9th Street between M Street and N Street (3 metered spaces).
