The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) - Colorado Springs Chapter (http://www.issa-cos.org) will is hosting its 10th Annual Regional Technology & Cybersecurity Day at Peterson AFB.
Government and industry experts will be on hand to brief attendees on the latest trends, best practices and remediation strategies in cybersecurity. This one-day forum will offer cybersecurity & information technology personnel a unique, local opportunity to get up-to-date information on rapidly evolving security challenges.
FBC is also inviting cyber and IT personnel from Fort Carson, Schriever AFB and the United States Air Force Academy to attend, as both this and the Fort Carson event will be advertised regionally.
Exhibit & Speaking Opportunities:
There will also be an exhibit hall held in conjunction with the educational briefs. All companies with cybersecurity and emerging information technology products, services and capabilities are invited to participate.
Three speaking opportunities are also available. All cybersecurity topics will be considered.
Attendees
All the above groups will receive promotions for this event. Job titles of some of the past event attendees include: IT Specialist, Program Manager, Network Administrator, Intelligent Analyst, Contract Specialist, Computer Specialist, Network Engineer, Program Analyst, Senior Analyst and Telecom Specialist, among others.
About Peterson AFB
The host wing at Peterson AFB is the 21st Space Wing. The 21st Space Wing provides missile warning and space control to North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Strategic Command through a network of command and control units and ground and space-based sensors operated by geographically separated units around the world. Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) is a major command headquartered at Peterson AFB. AFSPC defends North America through its space and intercontinental ballistic missile operations.
Peterson AFB is also home to the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), Army Space Command, United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), and the Air Force Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing (302 AW). All these major units receive invitations to attend.

From Denver I-25 South:
- Take the Academy Blvd (south exit) which is on the north side of Colorado Springs
- Proceed on Academy Blvd south towards the center of the city and then turn east on Platte Avenue (U.S. Highway 24)
- Take the Powers Boulevard South Exit
- Make a LEFT at Airport Road and follow the signs to the Peterson AFB West Gate entrance
- You do not need to stop at the Visitors Center. Proceed directly to the gate and have your current Drivers' License out and ready for the Gate Guard
- You will be on Stewart Ave. once you enter Peterson AFB
- Follow Stewart Ave. all the way until you reach Suffolk Street
- Make a RIGHT on Suffolk Street (this will be right past the 21 Space Communications Squadron building)
- Make a LEFT on Glasgow Ave. and The Club will be on your LEFT-hand side.

Public transportation such as Uber, or taxis, will not be allowed to access Peterson AFB.
Parking and Equipment
Equipment:
The Club will not accept shipments for this event. Please have your equipment and materials shipped to your hotel.
Exhibitors can unload equipment and supplies in front of the club and then park
