Director, Acquisition and Grants Group
Jason Vollmer is the Director for the Acquisition and Grants Group (AGG) in the Office of Acquisition & Grants Management (OAGM) within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As the Director of AGG, he is responsible for working collaboratively with the Director and Deputy Director of OAGM to award and administer CMS contracts and discretionary grants subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Code of Federal Regulations.
Mr. Vollmer has nearly 20 years of experience in Federal procurement and private industry operations and business development. Prior to his current role, he served as the Director of the Division of Quality Assurance and Technology where he oversaw CMS acquisition policy and procurement IT systems. He also gained extensive procurement experience as a Contracting Officer for various Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) contracts. Before joining CMS in 2010, he held various roles with a nationally recognized healthcare staffing firm with oversight of hospitals, government, and military treatment facilities across the country.
Mr. Vollmer holds an undergraduate degree in Health Care Management from Towson University. In addition to holding Federal Acquisition Certifications for Contracting, Contracting Officer's Representatives, and Program/Project Management, he holds a certification as a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) from the National Contract Management Association.
